I was nervous ordering a chandelier online, but DecorLane gave me sizing guidance and a 3D mockup of my space before I committed. The piece arrived perfectly packaged and looks stunning above our staircase.

Sizing Guide

Sized for your space.

Three rules that decide every fixture.

01

Scale to the room

Fixture size should be proportional to the space. Larger rooms call for larger pieces — or multiple fixtures sized to balance.

Add room length + width in feet for a starting reference in inches.

02

Hanging height matters

Most fixtures should sit 30–36 inches above a surface or 6½ feet above the floor where people walk.

A hallway pendant — bottom of fixture at 80 inches off the floor.

03

Light output

Match the bulb output to the function. Ambient (general): 1.5W per sq ft. Task (reading, vanity): more focused, brighter.

A 200 sq ft den calls for ~300W ambient.

Frequently Asked

Everything you'd ask, before you ask.

Sizing, customization, shipping, installation — the answers most clients want before they pick a fixture.

What size fixture should I choose for my room?

Add your room's length and width in feet — that sum is roughly the right diameter of the fixture in inches.

For exact sizing in your space, a specialist will guide you in minutes.

Can I customize the finish, size, or color temperature?

Yes — every piece in our catalog can be customized. Finish (any metal, any patina, any color), diameter and drop length, color temperature from warm candlelight to crisp daylight, and on most pieces the crystal or shade selection. Our finishing team matches to your sample or your spec.

If you've seen a fixture elsewhere we don't carry, we'll build it from your photo — in your finish, in your size.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. Free shipping, worldwide. Every piece is insured door-to-door and tracked from our warehouse to your address. Duties and customs are handled on most international routes — if your destination requires anything specific, a specialist will walk you through it.

How are your fixtures packaged and delivered?

Crystal and glass pieces ship in custom-fit foam crates — every arm, every drop, every shade individually cushioned. Metalwork ships in protective wrap inside reinforced cartons.

Large chandeliers ship freight with white-glove options available. You'll get tracking from dispatch to delivery, and a specialist on standby if anything needs attention on arrival.

What's your return policy?

Easy 30-day returns on stock catalog pieces — if the fixture isn't right for your space, we'll arrange the return and refund. Bespoke and customized pieces are built to your spec and are non-returnable, but we work with you closely through the design phase to ensure it's right before we build.

Is installation included?

Installation isn't included — we recommend hiring a licensed electrician, especially for large or hardwired pieces. Every fixture ships with detailed installation instructions, and our specialists are available if your electrician has questions during the install.

Are your fixtures dimmable? What bulbs do they use?

Most of our fixtures are dimmable and LED-compatible — specific bulb type and dimmer compatibility are listed in the specifications section of each product page.

If you're planning a smart-home integration or have a specific dimmer brand in mind, a specialist can confirm compatibility before you order.

Can you show me what it will look like in my space before I commit?

Yes. Send us a photo of your room and your dimensions, and we'll mock up the fixture in your space before you commit. It's free, takes a day or two, and removes the guesswork on scale, finish, and proportion.

Request a 3D Mockup
Are your fixtures covered by a warranty?

Every fixture is covered by our 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects — covering crystal, metalwork, finish, and electrical components. If anything arrives damaged or develops an issue under normal use, we replace or repair it.

Cleaning and maintenance is simple — regular dusting plus occasional gentle wipe-down with a damp cloth keeps most pieces looking new for decades.

Do you work with interior designers or offer trade pricing?

Yes — we work directly with interior designers, architects, hospitality projects, and developers. Trade pricing, project-based discounts, and dedicated specialist support are available for qualified accounts.

Postscript · Foyer & Entryway Chandeliers

A note on this catalog.

The foyer chandelier is the first thing guests see — the fixture that sets the tone for the whole home. Our collection of modern foyer, entryway, and staircase chandeliers ranges from grand multi-tier pieces for two-story entrances to refined designs for a standard hallway, each built to make an entrance feel intentional and welcoming.

What size chandelier for a foyer?

Use the room rule: add the length and width of the foyer in feet, and that number in inches is a good diameter. An 8 ft × 10 ft entry (8 + 10 = 18) suits an 18-inch fixture. For grand or two-story foyers, size up and choose a taller, tiered or cascading design that fills the vertical space.

How low to hang a foyer or staircase chandelier

Keep the bottom of the fixture at least 7 feet above the floor so it clears head height. In a two-story foyer with a window above the door, center the chandelier in that window so it reads as balanced from both inside and the street. Over a staircase, hang it so the lowest point sits above the highest step anyone will walk on, following the stair line for a dramatic cascade.

Foyer chandelier styles & 2026 trends

Modern tiered and cascading designs lead for entryways, in matte black, warm brass, and crystal. Sculptural and linear pieces suit contemporary homes, while a large statement chandelier remains the classic way to signal luxury the moment the door opens.

What size chandelier is right for a foyer? Add the foyer's length and width in feet for a good diameter in inches, and size up for grand or two-story entrances.

How low should a two-story foyer chandelier hang? Keep the bottom at least 7 feet above the floor; if there's a window above the door, center the fixture in the window for balance inside and out.
